Acceptance Number 3!

Well today I got accepted into the University of Hartford. They are giving me $12,300 a year which equals out to $49,200 altogether. My dadwas really excited for me. Then I told him about the fact that Middle Tennessee State University claims to not have receive my SAT scores. So we called the admissions office and they say that they did and I should be getting some mail by the end of the week. I'm a little excited about all the good news. Then my best friend called me and told me she got accepted into Barton College down in North Carolina. She was rather excited about that.

President's Day

On Monday, my best friend's momtook me and my best friend up to Albright College becaause she had a tour and interview with the school. It's rather small but I guess like colleges that are inimate. But anyway, we had a good time and I learned a lot about the school and took mental notes from the senior financial seminar.

MO' Money, MO' Money, MO' Money

Well I finally got my paperwork from New Haven. They're giving me $8,500 a year if I accept. But the thing is I can't seem to access what I got on my FAFSA. It's not letting me see any thing but whatever. New Haven is my second choice if I don't get into American. Hello Connecticut! I'm currently working on another scholarship for the Richie Spirit Foundation.

Well today is my boyfriend Tyrell's birthday. He just turned 18 too. We have a lot of February birthdays kind of back-to-back-to-back. Now that both he and Amber are 18, they're going to make fun of the fact that I'm still 17 and still a minor. It happens every year. I have to wait 5 months after them for my birthday to come around. But I'm proud of him. He's gone through a lot and  has accomplished a lot. I want him to be successful in his profession and that he can get into the school of his choice.
Also, we had church today. We had a really interesting discussion in youth church about relationships within the church and why all Christians should go to church. People don't know that it's not just a social event, it's a hospital for the broken. But there are imperfect people in there too that help each other grow. And plus when you pay your tithes and offering you just want them to go anywhere. It needs to go to a place that you know is using it for the right reasons.

After church, we went to a church member's house for her birthday party. She turned 13 today too. The food was great but then I was knocked out on the couch because the night before I didn't go to bed until like 4:45am. We were geeking watching "Trapped in the Closet", all 22 chapter of it.

Ashley, Amber, and Mandi

Amber's birthday party was on Saturday at my house. We spent most of the day cleaning up because the party didn't start unitl 6. I had to do the bathroom in the main hallway and there was a lot of sweeping and stuff to do. We even had to move the entire sofa from the family room to the living room. We had to take it in parts. So one part was against the window and the other was against the wall near the kitchen. I hadn't even taken a shower because yet we were working for several hours. But once I finally washed up, people started to arrive. After awhile, we realized we didn't have cups so me and my dad went to Food Lion and got cups. Then we picked up Kennedy. I think she enjoyed herself. The party was funny. I even got an email that I had been accepted into University of New Haven and I showed my parents and different family members. Then dancing and food were the main events. My cousin was even whipping up some strawberry and pina colado daquaris, virgin of course. I had a strawberry one. There were little kids all over the place but my little cousin Sydney was hilarious. My sister made me play all line dances including the Wobble. My mother was the main one going off, lol. But all in all, I had a great time. The people I know are hilarious. I even made new friends.

Friday was my bestfriend Amber's birthday. She turned 18. I'm proud of my bestfriend and she was very appriciative of all she got. We also went to The Cave and they did something really nice for both Ambers. The made them a little slide show. It was a surprise. It was also my friend Twin Carter's birthday too. The Cave was just too live on Friday and DJ Craig did his thing as always.

Well Thursday was my sister's birthday. She turned 25. She and her boyfriend went shopping the day before and she got shoes and stuff from Wet Seal. He's very nice to her and I see him almost everyday because he's always over here but hey, he's my future brither-in-law. I'm proud of my sister and that she's an example I can follow whole-heartedly.
