The Saturday Story
Well since I only had 2 hours of actual sleep, I was extremely sleepy. I got up at 7:30 to go to a women's luncheon for my grandmother. She was being honored for being in the ministry faithfully for an elongated period of time. I was all dressed up; I had a business suit on (-_-). Everyone said I looked nice but I wasn't digging it. So much happened that day that I don't even know if I can tell everybody. The prayer was so intense. I found out so much about my family and how forgiveness is so powerful. But on another note, the food there was soooooo good. It was at Turf Valley Resort. There was a breakfast buffet! I love food personally and I got really excited. Once the actual ceremony and service was over, they was a vendor selling handmade pies. Oh my gosh. I got a slice of sweet potato pie.
Later, I convinced my mother to take me and my sisters to see "Lion King " in 3D. I love that movie. It's my favorite one of all time, Disney or non-Disney. I was the first one in the theater, 50 minutes before it started. We were singing every song and saying every line that we remembered. We also made multiple Biblical references to it. We got the stories of Cain and Abel, Moses, the Prodigal's Son, and Jesus. We also made the connection of Simba being a person not living up to obligation. He wasn't doing anything wrong per-say while he was out in the world but he wasn't living up to the will of his father. And lastly, we referred Scar to how Satan tries to fool you and to remind you of your past, even though all is forgiven. And also when Scar tried to mix the pride with the hyenas is like mixing all things Godly with the secular; they just can't operate properly. I just love THE LION KING!!!
